While the 2021 NFL season is still months away, it is never too early to prepare for the fantasy season. Whether it’s research, mock drafts, or going with your gut, everyone has a way to prepare for their fantasy drafts. However, this isn’t another article to help you prepare for the fantasy season. Today, I am going to give three bold fantasy predictions for the Atlanta Falcons in 2021.

Kyle Pitts Finishes the Year as a Top-Four Tight End
We have never seen a tight end prospect with as much hype as Pitts. Usually, rookie tight ends struggle early in their NFL career. For comparison, George Kittle averaged only 7.1 fantasy points per game as a rookie. However, the fourth overall pick in April’s draft is in line for a massive target share as a rookie. Last season, Matt Ryan threw the ball 626 times, the third-highest total in his career. Between his high volume and unguardable talent in the red zone, the only thing that will keep him from finishing as a top-four tight end is an injury.
Calvin Ridley Leads the League in Targets
Last season, Ridley’s 143 targets finished ninth in the NFL, 23 behind Stefon Diggs for the league lead. However, Ridley did that with Julio Jones playing in nine games. With Jones likely traded at some point soon, Ridley is in line for a massive target share. Last season in the eight games he played with Jones, Ridley averaged eight targets per game. However, in the seven games without Jones, Ridley averaged 11.3 targets per game. In those seven games, Ridley had at least nine targets in every outing. Over a 16 game pace, Ridley would have totaled 181 targets. By comparison, when Michael Thomas had a record-setting 149 catches in 2019, he averaged 11.6 targets per game. Ridley is in line for a massive target share this season.
Mike Davis Finishes the Year as a Top-12 Running Back
When Christian McCaffrey missed 13 games last season, Davis had a career year, averaging 13.8 fantasy points per game. He finished the year as the RB20 on a point-per-game basis. However, Davis finished last season as the RB12 with 206.5 total points despite starting only 12 games. Furthermore, despite poor quarterback play and no elite wide receiver on the roster, Davis averaged 0.92 fantasy points per touch last season. In Atlanta, Davis will have at least two elite receivers drawing the defense’s attention and a massive upgrade at quarterback. If Davis receives 260 touches this season, at even 0.92 fantasy points per touch, he will score 239.2 fantasy points. Last season, a running back scoring 239.2 fantasy points would have finished as the RB8.
