The Toronto Blue Jays are hellbent on building their rotation this season. They add Ross Stripling from the Los Angeles Dodgers for two players to be named later.
The Jays have already added Robbie Ray and Taijuan Walker.
The Jays get Stripling who has been solid throughout his time in Los Angeles. The 30-year-old has been prone to the longball this season allowing an NL-leading 12 in just 33.2 innings. However, the Dodgers right-hander has not had an ERA over 4.00 in his previous four seasons. He should help the Jays rotation and can be a long man out of the bullpen if needed.
The Dodgers get a couple of players to be named later. Knowing Los Angeles, they will likely turn these players into something valuable. At worst they allow for some organizational depth and will let the Dodgers move other pieces in the future.
