Dillon Brooks Wants Iguodala Traded

During the NBA offseason, the Golden State Warriors sent veteran Andre Iguodala to the Memphis Grizzlies to shred salary to go after D’Angelo Russell.

The only problem is that Iggy has yet to suit up for the Grizzlies, who currently find themselves two games ahead of the Portland Trail Blazers for the eighth seed in the western conference. The Grizzlies have been one of the more surprising teams in the association this year with the emergence of rookie of the year candidate and the second overall pick of the 2019 NBA draft, Ja Morant.

The NBA trade deadline is now just hours away, with the deadline set at 3 p.m. for this upcoming Thursday, Feb. 6. It has been reported that both the Lakers and Clippers have an interest in the swingman, and if he is not traded by the deadline, look for Iggy and the Grizzlies to part ways and let him pick his own roster to join. Dillon Brooks of the Grizzlies took to the media to let them know what he thought about the situation and the possibility of this all being a distraction.

Morant then tweeted this out in support of his running mate.

Of course, Twitter blew up after this with some funny responses. If Iguodala lands with either the Lakers or the Clippers, and then Grizzlies maintain their spot in the western conference, it sure will be an interesting match up when Iggy subs in and checks Brooks.
