The Jacksonville Sharks hosted the Orlando Predators in the first meeting between the two teams since they were both in the Arena Football League in 2016. In their last meeting, the Sharks upset the Predators in the first round of the AFL postseason.
This was no upset. Jacksonville jumped on the Predators early. Jonathon Bane threw for 142 yards and four touchdown passes before going down with what appears to be a serious leg injury.
Defense dominated the Predators offense, holding them to just seven points. The Sharks went on to dominate by a final score of 61-7. The win is their fourth in a row after an 0-1 start.
They will now enjoy a bye week before a rematch with the Predators ensues. Their next meeting will be Friday night, May 31 at the Amway Center in Orlando. Kickoff for that game is set for 7 p.m. ET.
