Welcome back to Damico’s Depository! Last week, I went 6-2-1, bringing my year-to-date record to 35-24-1 (.593). I am drawing closer and closer to my yearly goal of a .600 hit rate. I was conservative this week and only decided to pick seven games.
10 Minnesota -13.5 at Northwestern
Sure, Northwestern’s defense is solid, but their offense is absolutely terrible. They couldn’t pass the ball effectively if everybody on that team’s lives depended on it. Their quarterback struggled against UMass…
Illinois +15.5 at 17 Iowa
Although I have little doubt that Iowa wins this game, they tend to let their opponents hang around. They never blow out the opposing team. Illinois has shown resilience this year, beating Wisconsin and Michigan State. This is a solid football team that should hang around in this game.
Texas A&M +13 at 4 Georgia
Texas A&M is a solid program. Georgia hasn’t been obliterating their opponents this year, so I think Kellen Mond and the Aggies have a solid chance to hang around this week.
LA Tech +7 at UAB
This line confuses me. Tech has been playing great football this year, and UAB is no powerhouse. While I think that this game will be close, I think the Bulldogs will cover and win outright.
North Texas -6.5 at Rice
I really like this line at 6.5 (I bet it changes by morning) because North Texas should be able to easily handle Rice, who picked up their first win last week. Hopefully, Mason Fine can have a good showing and lead his team to victory.
1 LSU -42.5 vs. Arkansas
Arkansas is an awful football program. Geaux Jeaux.
Missouri -3.5 vs. Tennessee
While Missouri has most certainly not lived up to expectations this year, they are a much better team than the Volunteers. Tigers win and it’s not very close.
