Now that sports are officially back, that means my weekly picks are officially back. I am very excited to once again be talking about gambling and making some money. Let’s get rich.
The Can’t-Miss Parlay: Pelicans -1.5 & U 219.5 vs Jazz, Lakers -1 vs Clippers
I am fully buying in on the Pelicans hype. Actually, let me clarify, I am fully buying in on the Zion Williamson hype. The Pelicans have the best young core in basketball and they are already producing at a playoff level. I also like the under in most of the opening games because of the rust factor and the weird circumstances.
I am also taking the Lakers -1 over the Clippers opening night because I believe the Lakers have separated themselves in the West. The Clippers have beaten the Lakers 2/3 times but it really seemed like the Lakers were hitting their stride.
My Picks
Mon: Astros -1.5 vs Mariners
I also had the Astros yesterday as well and of course, they laid an egg. I just had a horrible day yesterday. But in gambling, when you have a bad day, you go back to the basics. The Astros are more than 1.5 runs better than the Mariners.
Mon: Cubs -1.5 vs Reds
After a promising opening game, the Reds lost two straight against the horrible Tigers. Part of that is due to the Covid-19 virus that might be going around the clubhouse. I am really high on the Cubs this year and with Jon Lester on the mound for the Cubs, I am going with the Cubs.
Fri: Sixers -5.5 vs Pacers
It’s still up in the air if Victor Oladipo will be playing in the NBA restart and with Domantas Sabonis out for the year, the Pacers are very thin. The Sixers were a weird team. They were 29-2 at home and 10-24 on the road. It’s hard to say if they fed off their home crowd or were just uncomfortable on the road but with the lack of depth on the Pacers, I am going with the Sixers.
