We have finally reached championship weekend in college football, and this point of the season is always very bittersweet. The end of the season is near, however we have some awesome matchups today. I can’t wait to lay out all day, watch football, and win some money.

2020 Record: 122-111-4

Best Bets:

Northwestern vs. Ohio State 1H (-10.5)

This is my new “Blackhawks over”. I don’t have statistical data to prove how effective Ohio State 1H covers are, but being a life-long Ohio State fan has taught me that they throttle teams in the first half. Northwestern has a great defense, but Ohio State has too much firepower. Even if Chris Olave has to sit with a positive COVID test, Northwestern’s defense is going to be overwhelmed by Justin Fields. This seems like a game where Ohio State will flex its muscles in order to erase any doubt about their status as a top team in this country.

Alabama (-17) vs. Florida

There are some really good teams in college football this season. However, no one is on the same level as Alabama right now. Alabama is demoralizing teams right now. There are some concerns about that defense, but they are unstoppable of late. Mac Jones and Devonta Smith are competing against each other for the Heisman. Looking at the schedule, Florida has been a very “meh” team for about a month, then were finally exposed by a horrible LSU team. Alabama might win this game by 40, that’s how good they are.

Tulsa vs. Cincinnati O/45

Cincinnati is going to come into this game very mad. They are the only team in the country that is being punished for having games canceled. The committee is making a statement: The Group-of-5 will never make the playoff. Cincinnati is going to try to boat-race this team (It will be a close game) meaning that there is going to be a lot of up-tempo plays for both teams. The over is the obvious play here.

2024 NCAA Football SEC Preview - Alabama vs. Georgia QB Carson Beck
CFB Conference Previews

SEC Season Preview (2024)

The SEC is one of the best conferences in College Football, competing neck-and-neck with the Big Ten. Make no mistake, though: without Nick Saban roaming the sidelines for Alabama, this conference is wide open. Georgia has proven to be the best program in the SEC over the last several years, but there are still plenty of opportunities for other schools.
