Best Bets:
NBA: Suns -1 vs Clippers
It is hard to believe that the Clippers can hold on in this series. Even with the big Game 5 win in Phoenix to survive elimination, it is far-fetched to think Paul George can have two great playoff games in a row. Each team has been great ATS all year and in the playoffs, so this game is a pick ’em for me. Take the Suns to advance to the NBA Finals. They just have too much for the Clippers to hold on.
NHL: Canadiens vs Lightning U5
Both teams have fairly efficient offenses, and the Lightning are sixth in goals and rank second in PP scoring. The Canadiens are only 22nd in goals, they are ninth in shots and 14th in PP scoring. However, it is hard to think that we will have two straight blowouts to start off the finals, even with how dominating the Lightning looked. Both teams have a losing record against the over this season and the under has hit in five out of the Lightning’s last seven. Take the under with the mindset that Carey Price will rebound from a disastrous game one and keep this a low-scoring game.
CWS: Mississippi State ML (+170) vs Vanderbilt
Let’s be honest, there is no strategy to picking college baseball games. Sure, Vanderbilt is a heavy favorite because Kumar Rocker will be on the mound, but lest we forget that I am 13-2 all-time when picking college baseball games. I stated that the Bulldogs would win the whole thing at the beginning of the tournament and that is what is going to happen. This also may just be some value on a fun game, but either way, take the Bulldogs.
Bonus MLB Plays
Angeles (+1.5) vs. Yankees
Royals vs. Red Sox (-1.5)
Pirates ML (+137) at Rockies
