Cornerback Named AFC Defensive Player of the Month

The accolades just keep coming for New England Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore.

Per Ian Rapoport, the 2018 First-team All-Pro was named AFC’s defensive player of the month for his play in October.

The consensus to many is that Stephon Gilmore is the best cornerback in the National Football League today. The former Buffalo Bill in eight weeks, has three interceptions returning one back for a score and 10 passes defended.

The former first-round selection has most notably shutdown Ju Ju Smith Schuster, Robby Anderson, and Odell Beckham Jr. as one of the anchors in the team’s undefeated start this season.
