CFB Game Picks
Welcome back to another week of picking the college football games. Let’s shoot for under 10 losses this week.
5 Ohio State -17 at Nebraska
My Pick: THE Ohio State University
Ohio State could make a huge statement with a dominant win over a solid conference foe today. These are the games that they should win but have lost in each of the last two seasons (Iowa, Purdue). If they cover the spread and blow out Nebraska, they could find themselves in the top four.
18 Virginia at 10 Notre Dame -10.5
My Pick: Notre Dame
Notre Dame held their own against Georgia last week and made them sweat it down to the very last down. There’s no doubt in my mind that this is a talented team who should be able to beat Virginia and cover the spread.
21 USC at 17 Washington -11
My Pick: Washington
I’m developing a reputation as a “Washington hater” because of how I talk about their program. I wrongfully picked against them against BYU and I refuse to make the same mistake this week. USC has a solid program this year and I do think they cover the spread, but this is Jacob Eason’s game to win.
Washington State at 19 Utah -6
My Pick: Wazzu
Washington State’s defense is what destroyed them last week as they lost a high-scoring affair to winless UCLA. It was embarrassing, but I’m sure they’ve spent this week at practice tightening the defense up. Utah does not have an impressive team, despite Lee Corso’s thoughts, and I think they’re upset at home today.
Mississippi State at 7 Auburn -9.5
My Pick: Auburn
Auburn handled Kellen Mond and Texas A&M on the road last week, so I’ll bet on them doing the same to Mississippi State at home. Bo Nix hasn’t looked incredible, but we forget that he’s a true freshman leading one of the best programs in the country to victory after victory. He’ll mature as a quarterback over time, but he’s going to do it again this week. Bo knows winning.
