Despite the last-minute win in Week 2 over the Philadelphia Eagles, the Atlanta Falcons are hosting the Kansas City Chiefs, trying to be the first team this season to hand a loss to the reigning Super Bowl Champions.

The Kansas City Chiefs appear to be on a roll that no one can slow. Last week, they defeated the Cincinnati Bengals by a hair. While they were working on that, the Atlanta Falcons surprised the Philadelphia Eagles, showing off the Kirk Cousins fans know and love.

The Chiefs brought Kareen Hunt back, and he will eventually help with the offense due to the injury suffered by Isiah Pacheco against the Bengals. Pacheco has been placed on injured reserve, and there is no definitive timeline for a return. In addition to bringing back Hunt, they have made more roster moves on the offensive side to see how they can move pieces around Patrick Mahomes. It will make Samaje Perine the lone running back the Chiefs will have available. He has been with the team for less than a month after Denver cut him.

Atlanta did not get off to a good start, but their play was better against the Eagles. Their running game made them effective against the Eagles, especially with Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier. They were able to start getting yardage down the field before contact. They need to plan to do the same thing to the Chiefs and take advantage of a defense that has allowed the second-most passing yards this season.

What To Watch For

Look for Travis Kelce to get more touches than the first two games. While it is frustrating for fans not to see the Mahomes-Kelce connection, he is not the entire offense.

Cousins has been known for not being consistent. Now that he has a win under his belt in Atlanta, look for him to be the baller we know he can be.
