Coming into college football’s seventh week, we approach a rather dull slate compared to last week. That doesn’t mean we don’t have a healthy amount of prospects to look after, so let’s get right into our five guys to watch across the nation this weekend.

Kenny Pickett, QB, Pittsburgh
It’s a bit foul that Pickett has yet to appear on this list. He is racking up the stats for Pitt, but the jury is still out on where he stands as a National Football League prospect. It doesn’t seem like he has the arm talent to succeed at the next level, yet he’s been thrilling to watch. The game against a good Virginia Tech defense can be a major add-on to his stock.
Pittsburgh QB Kenny Pickett has been tearing it up this season and starting to get some draft buzz talk. Through 5 games, he has 19 TD’s and just 1 INT with 2 scores on the ground for a 194.7 passer rating. Stock up🚀🚀

Kenneth Walker III, RB, Michigan State
Walker has been electric this season and is at the forefront of the Heisman race. He has totaled 912 yards on the year, adding nine touchdowns. However, he has yet to play any good rush defenses. Indiana’s, ranked just outside the top 50, is the best one he’ll play so far. While it’s not insanely good, Walker will be under the microscope against better competition.
David Bell, WR, Purdue
Iowa’s secondary handled Jahan Dotson well last week, holding him to 48 yards on eight catches. They will look to do the same against Bell this week. The Purdue junior is starting to gain some first-round traction around draft circles, and an impressive game against Riley Moss and company could vault him into the first round.
Bumper Pool, LB, Arkansas
Pool ranks fifth in the nation in tackles; one can see why by watching a couple of plays in an Razorbacks game. He flies to the ball, and is ruthless when attacking the ball carrier. He’s not likely to be a first-rounder, but Pool will be an excellent selection if he can continue his play-up. Going against Auburn this week is a big opportunity for him.
Derion Kendrick, CB, Georgia
Kendrick is another guy who is starting to get some first-round chatter. Like many past Georgia corners, he’s got great technique and can lock down in man coverage. To see a boost in his stock, Kendrick can start by shutting down Kentucky wide receiver Wan’Dale Robinson this week. It will definitely not be an easy task to contain this ridiculous athlete.
