Celtics Taking Cautious Approach with Injured Jayston Tatum

Boston Celtics star forward, Jayson Tatum, was removed from Wednesday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies with a right groin strain. He has supposedly avoided a serious injury, but the Celtics are taking a more cautious approach, especially with the All-Star break approaching.

Without Tatum, the Celtics won a hard-fought game against the Orlando Magic on Friday before coming up short versus the New Orleans Pelicans on Sunday. Although there were moments from both games where it was clear the Celtics missed their talented 21-year-old, Kemba Walker was nothing short of amazing, scoring 37 points against the Magic and 35 points against the Pelicans.

Tatum should be back by Thursday when the Celtics face off against the Golden State Warriors and will have a good shot to play Tuesday versus the Miami Heat in a huge conference game. Tatum is also looking to get his first All-Star appearance in his NBA career as he has been fabulous so far this season, averaging 21.5 points and 6.9 rebounds per game.
