Chase Elliott Survives Disaster Filled Road Course For Charlotte Win

Chase Elliot would need to beat out Hendricks teammate Alex Bowman to get his third victory of the season and second on a road course. His other road course win being at Watkins Glen back in early August. Elliot had arguably the best car most of the day, managing to just beat out Harvick for most laps led with 35 and the stage two win. Four cautions over the final 20 laps would help scratch his way back to the front of the pack, eventually getting by Harvick with less than seven laps remaining.

USA vs England Match Preview

Fittingly enough the Americans will kick off their World Cup Tournament against their most historical rival in England. However, these two countries have a rather young Rugby history, only having played one another on five separate occasions. Interesting enough the first time they played was during the inaugural World Cup back in 1987 which was also a group match that England was victorious 34-6.

More Money, More Problems.

I took a casual poll on whether or not college athletes should be paid or compensated when their respective university uses their image or likeness. The results were not as I expected. Out of about 100 people who responded, 72 of them said that college athletes should not be paid. This sample included people who had played and who were passionate about college athletics, people who were recently out of college and people who have been graduated for a long time. I personally voted that they should be compensated for their image being used for marketing or recruiting and in a way, they are with scholarships. But we all know that scholarships can only help so much.
