The regular season is almost here! I personally can’t wait and here at The Scorecrow, we’re going to break down each team based on division. You won’t want to miss these articles. So be on the lookout for your favorite team and what we think about them. Hello everyone, and welcome to the first of many installments of my GPP article for this NHL season. I want to start by saying how grateful I am for these fine people at the Scorecrow to allow me to write for them for football and hockey and that I really want to make some money for myself as well as all the readers this season. I had a couple of near-binks last season, and I am committed to hitting one or two this year, so let’s get to the picks.
Nick and Gabe talk about the youth movement in basketball with the young stars on the Chicago Bulls, Sacramento Kings, Dallas Mavericks, and Atlanta Hawks. Ah yes, it was a duel of top-tier QBs in Detroit this afternoon. Matthew Stafford took on Patrick Mahomes in a battle that Lions fans won’t forget, but may want to. A day that looked promising early, and even late, turned for the worse as Darrel Williams crossed the goal line to seal the deal for the Chiefs.

Chase Elliot would need to beat out Hendricks teammate Alex Bowman to get his third victory of the season and second on a road course. His other road course win being at Watkins Glen back in early August. Elliot had arguably the best car most of the day, managing to just beat out Harvick for most laps led with 35 and the stage two win. Four cautions over the final 20 laps would help scratch his way back to the front of the pack, eventually getting by Harvick with less than seven laps remaining.
