The NBA and NFL are in full swing, which means college sports have taken a backseat except for College Football because of the upcoming bowl season. Even though college basketball has taken a backseat it doesn’t mean that programs aren’t still playing hard. Here’s what select players and coaches had to say about the games they participated in at the Air Force Reserve Jerry Colangelo Classic on Sunday.
Lions fans were served elimination from the playoffs at the Thanksgiving Dinner table last week. Unfortunately, this week, they were served seconds. A 20-7 loss in the first game all season in which they did not have a lead brings the already-eliminated team to 3-9-1. As for Minnesota, they got a much-needed victory for their playoff hopes and improve to 9-4 on the year.

The Bruins continue their points streak going 2-0-1 on the week, but taking a surprising overtime loss to the Chicago Blackhawks.
Getting all three phases on the same page has been a real issue for the Chargers this year. Week 14 gives the Bolts their best chance of a ‘W’ before their season concludes. There are several ways to sum up the Chargers this season. A frustrating string of close losses is an enigma. For example, Mike Williams leads the NFL in yards per catch over the last four weeks, but he hasn’t found the End Zone. An explosive offense is missing, especially in the running game. It’s the coaching staff and the roster who can truly answer why the Bolts are 4-8?
