Daniele De Rossi Retires

One of Italian soccer’s all-time greats, Daniele De Rossi has finally decided to hang it up and retire from the sport. De Rossi played 18 seasons for the Serie A club Roma and signed with Argentinean club Boca Juniors this past July on a one-year contract. De Rossi played on the Italian national team from 2004-2017, including a World Cup championship in 2006, as well as playing for the Italian U19, U20, and U21 teams before that.

The English Premier League may be the most competitive of the top European leagues with multiple top tier clubs in play. In the last decade, we have seen four different clubs win the league title with Manchester City doing so the most with four titles including winning the Premier League the last two seasons. We may only be at the halfway mark but it seems like, barring any freakish losing streak, the top spot in the Premier League ha already been locked up. Harry Kane Out Indefinitely

Veteran striker Harry Kane left the pitch injured on Wednesday during Tottenham’s New Year’s Day game against Southampton. Kane had to leave the match in the 74th minute as the Spurs went on to lose 1-0. Jose Mourhino was worried after the match that he may be without his star striker for some time, and sadly Mourhino was right.
