The top French league, Ligue 1, has been absolutely dominated by Paris Saint Germain through the last eight seasons, winning seven of the last eight by a rather wide margin in most. Halfway through the 2019-2020 season, PSG is at the top of the table once again, will they hold their lead? Who will contend for the top spot as well as the rest of the cup qualifying positions? Let’s take a look at the clubs in that position right now. Veteran striker Harry Kane left the pitch injured on Wednesday during Tottenham’s New Year’s Day game against Southampton. Kane had to leave the match in the 74th minute as the Spurs went on to lose 1-0. Jose Mourhino was worried after the match that he may be without his star striker for some time, and sadly Mourhino was right.
