The World Motocross Championship tilt is now past the quarter-way mark after the trek to Loket in the Czech Republic. With preseason title contenders Jeffery Herlings now on the shelf and Tom Vialle back on track, another pair of Red Bull KTM riders would take center stage on Sunday. The back half of the AMA Motocross tilt began at the pacific northwest circuit in Washougal, Washington. Highlighted by the first repeat 250 class winner, as well as a new winner in the 450 class to boot.
Currently, the IndyCar Series is in the middle of a month-long hiatus, before they hit the streets of Nashville. However, with that in mind, a number of drivers on Tuesday were at Weather-Tech Raceway at Laguna Seca. This was a test session before the race there later this year. Josef Newgarden was fastest in this session at the track set to host the penultimate round of the season.
Major news dropped from across the pond on Tuesday, as UK motorcycle powerhouse Triumph announced they will be entering the realms of Motocross and Enduro.
On Tuesday afternoon, FELD Motor Sports officially dropped the 2022 17-round Supercross schedule. Next year’s tilt will officially return to Anaheim, CA to start things out on January 8.
The FIM World Motocross Championship hit the Netherlands for the first time since March of last year. Herlings entered the day with ambitions of taking the points lead away from Tim Gajser.
Millville is a consistently great presence on the AMA Pro Motocross schedule and 2021 was no different. A pair of first-time winners this season highlighted some spectacular racing on one of the world’s premier tracks in Minnesota. On top of a change at the top of the 250 pecking order, and an injury scare for a 450 title contender averted with a strong Moto 2.

One of the top 450 championship contenders avoided catastrophe in the points standings, while another did not share that level of fortune at The Wick.
With a track surface that has not been overhauled since 1997, Atlanta was due for a repave sooner or later. Now that day will come, as this weekend’s Xfinity and Cup Races will be the final races on the worn-out Atlanta Motor Speedway surface. In addition to laying down some new asphalt, Atlanta will also make some changes to the banking in the corners and track width as well. However, the reaction to these changes has been mostly negative, from fans and drivers alike.
