Welcome to a special Saturday edition of Ice Picks, hockey fans. Tonight we are hoping for some offense for both of our picks, so let’s get to it.
On to a new night. Will the trend of favorites continue to be the winning side (near 70 percent)? Or will we see the underdogs close the gap? Lots of hockey left and lots of picks to make, let’s get started.
Through the first six weeks of the season, the Boston Bruins have been one of the best teams in the NHL. While the Bruins offense has struggled at times, David Krejci has gotten off to a solid start.
It’s been an interesting week for the New York Rangers organization. Chaos reigned over the beginning of the week with the news that Tony DeAngelo had been placed on waivers.
Hockey’s not exactly the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Glendale, Arizona, now is it? Located “deep in the heart” of the desert houses one of the most least-talked-about organizations in professional sports-the Arizona Coyotes.
With some shoot-out luck in the Carolina 4-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks, we were able to sweep our picks Tuesday. In the other game, Montreal keeps rolling with a 5-3 victory over the Canucks.
In 2021, Charlie McAvoy has taken on a different role than in years past. Due to Zdeno Chara’s departure, the Boston University product has become the leader of the Bruins blue line.
On to another week and another slate. Tonight, we are looking at a couple of favorites to get the job done. Let’s get into some Ice Picks.
If you were thinking, “Hey, it’s great that Rangers hockey is back, even the pandemic couldn’t stop it!” you are not alone. However, it seems that even into the third week of games, the Rangers still think they’re trapped in the bubble of last season’s playoffs.
Our picks series continues with another big night around the NHL. Last time out we went 1-1 and now sit at a respectable 6-4. Tonight, we get a bit “chalk-y” with our picks.
Over the past few years, Trent Frederic has shuffled in and out of the Bruins lineup. While the season is only a week old, Frederic is making the most of his latest opportunity.
The ongoing saga and proverbial dark cloud that was Pierre-Luc Dubois and the Columbus Blue Jackets has finally come to an end. On Saturday morning, the Blue Jackets sent Dubois, along with a third-round draft pick in 2022 to the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for Jack Roslovic and scoring winger Patrik Laine.
