With most teams nearing the 40 game mark of the 2021 NHL season, January is almost in the books. As trade rumors begin to swirl with the deadline less than two months out, contending teams are starting to separate themselves from the pack.
We are just about at the halfway point of the 2021-22 season, which means that it is time for overreactions, where many of them could be true! For the Seattle Kraken, their inaugural season has left us with the potential to clown all over them.

The NHL season has hit the midway point, which means we are at the midway point of our power rankings. As always, a loss or win doesn’t necessarily mean that one team will be ranked higher than a team they beat or lost to.

This week found the New York Rangers at the end of their five-game road trip, with the San Jose Sharks and the Philadelphia Flyers as their opponents.

With the halfway point of the 2021 NHL season in sight, we have reached the midway point of January. The league is still forced to postpone games on a nightly basis as a result of COVID-19 and crowd limits in Canada.

The New York Rangers are rumbling right along. Although they may not be the finely tuned machine they need to be, there’s no need to panic yet.

2022 is starting to get into full swing again and the power rankings certainly reflect that. Things will get interesting this week, so buckle up.

The NHL choose to extend its holiday break due to the surging amount of COVID-19 cases across the league. This forced the number of postponed games during the 2021 season to climb above 50.

Being one of the NHL’s seven Canadian teams brings a ton of attention towards a club. For the Edmonton Oilers, that attention was exclusively positive during the team’s first 10 games. Now, as they look to close out a six-game road trip, the Oilers have dropped 10 of their past 12 games.
