All NFL head coaching vacancies were filled Monday night after the New Orleans Saints promoted defensive coordinator Dennis Allen to the top spot. The process took a little longer than last year’s carousel and came with much more controversy. Putting those logistics aside, let’s look at how each team graded out with their head coaching hires.
The Kansas City Chiefs had a weird year. With Patrick Mahomes playing lights out in the back half of the year and had fans scratching their heads in the first half. With the Chiefs losing in the AFC Championship game to the Cincinnati Bengals 27-24, a few things went wrong and right during the season to make this happen.
Most of this list remains the same from a week ago as only four teams played last week.
With the Conference Championships in the books, it is time to look at the best performers at each position from last week. It should be a mix of usual suspects and random one-game wonders.
The San Francisco 49ers finished the season 10-7 and closed the regular season as one of the hottest teams in the NFL.
