The Los Angeles Chargers finished 5-11 in 2019, just one year removed from a trip to the playoffs, mostly thanks to injuries and inconsistency on the offensive line. In the offseason, more pieces were added to an already solid defense (ranked fifth versus the pass, 14th in total points allowed in 2019), as well as some offensive line upgrades. The 2020 season is showing a lot of promise, but for it all to come together the Chargers will need solid performances from veterans and help from the new faces. Here, we’ll see which players may have the best shot to win the individual awards after their first season in a new stadium. Away we go!
The Green Bay Packers certainly overachieved last year by going 13-3. With a new head coach, Green Bay’s offense endured quite a few growing pains behind Matt LaFleur. Being a game away from the Super Bowl, many thought Green Bay would go all-in during the draft. Instead, the Packers looked to the future, taking a major blow to their current status. With a roster that was ready to win, they didn’t do anything to push themselves to the top of the NFC, while also making Aaron Rodgers not very happy.
For the past three seasons, the Saints have been so close to making it to the big game. This year
The 2019 NFL season was one to forget for the Dallas Cowboys. The team battled injuries, inconsistent play, and contract distraction all season long. The team end the season 9-7 and missing the playoffs despite leading the NFC East division for most of the year. The team made several changes this offseason and hope the changes lead to their return to the playoffs. With that said, here are my Cowboy team award predictions.

The Washington Redskins are set to undergo a thorough examination of their team name. Mike Ursery takes a look at how they could rebrand and five new names that just might work.

Kyler Burd explains why Arizona Cardinals fans should be optimistic ahead of the 2020 season.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went from a middling team to a Super Bowl candidate with two signings. Tampa Bay signed Tom Brady and Brady managed to get Rob Gronkowski out of retirement. The defense was vastly improved in the latter half of the season and Todd Bowles was never given enough credit. The Buccaneers have a mix of young and aging players and are in win-now mode with Brady and the supporting cast around him still intact.
The 2019 season was meant to be the year the Cleveland Browns finally put it all together. Baker Mayfield had just come off a rookie season, in which he had led the Browns to their best record in more than a decade. Odell Beckham would be added that offseason through a trade with the New York Giants. The hope with Beckham was that he would help put Mayfield over the top and get them into the playoffs for the first time since 2002. Instead, the Browns crashed and burned, finishing the year out with a 6-10 record, which was good for second to last in the AFC North division. Let’s take a look at the team’s award predictions.
Coming off the Super Bowl defeat, the Los Angeles Rams fell flat on their face in 2020. After making the playoffs in both of Sean McVay’s first two seasons in Los Angeles, the Rams finished third in the NFC West and missed the playoffs. The team traded away two first-round picks midseason for Jalen Ramsey and still need to sign him to a long term extension. Hopefully, the Rams can turn things around in 2020 and make the playoffs. With that in mind, here are my team award predictions for the Rams.
Even with the Dallas Cowboys having the best offensive line in the league, a budding star at quarterback, and an All-Pro at receiver, Jason Garrett could never get the Cowboys as far as many thought they would go. Garrett is now gone and replaced by former Packers head coach, Mike McCarthy. Dallas is in salary cap hell and will now have to attempt to pay Dak Prescott after this year. It will be interesting to see if McCarthy can make the most of his opportunity with a great offense or if he’ll sputter his way out of Dallas as well.

The NFLPA has unanimously voted to eliminate all preseason games in 2020.
