The Houston Texans will spend their holiday in Detroit, MI as they face the Lions in the latter’s traditional Thanksgiving Day game, kicking off Week 12 of the NFL.

When Thanksgiving rolls around, we all know that means the Dallas Cowboys will be playing, and this year they take on the Washington Football Team. The Cowboys are 30-20-1 all-time on Thanksgiving, including 8-1 against Washington. These two teams played on Thanksgiving two years ago, with the Cowboys winning 31-23. The winner of this game will take over as the NFC East division leader, so this game is critical for both team’s playoff hopes.

Here’s a look back at the week that was Week 11 of the 2020 NFL season.

Another year, another Detroit Lions game to kick off Thanksgiving. This year the 3-7 Houston Texans head to Detroit to take on the 4-6 Lions. Except for a six-year span due to World War II, the Lions have played on Thanksgiving every year since 1934. They have a 37-41-2 record on Thanksgiving but have lost their last three games on the holiday.

The Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers faced off in week 11 on Monday Night Football. Both defenses battled throughout the game, combining for four turnovers. Jared Goff had a fantastic night and led the game-winning drive late in the fourth quarter to upset the Buccaneers 27-24.

Dalton Schultz’s touchdown with 1:37 remaining in the fourth quarter was the difference on Sunday, as the Dallas Cowboys defeated the Minnesota Vikings 31-28 at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Riding a two-game win streak, the New England Patriots came out slow Sunday afternoon and dropped a crucial game to the Houston Texans. After an impressive defensive showing last week against the Ravens, Deshaun Watson repeatedly torched New England’s secondary, finishing with 380 total yards and three touchdowns. Cam Newton and the Patriots had a chance to tie the game with less than a minute left but came up short yet again.

In a rematch of their Week 5 thriller, the Kansas City Chiefs traveled to Las Vegas to battle the Raiders on Sunday Night Football. Trying to sweep the reigning Super Bowl champions for the first time in eight seasons, a back and forth affair all night long saw 66 points scored and over 824 yards of total offense.

A pair of rushing touchdowns from Taysom Hill led the New Orleans Saints to a big win over the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
