After a rough five-game road trip, the Miami Heat are looking forward to the All-star break. In a battle of teams with identical 35-18 records, the Utah Jazz came out on top. Donovan Mitchell and the Jazz’s killer threes down the stretch were too much to overcome.
The New York Knicks are the most valuable team in the NBA, according to Forbes. Forbes says that the average value for an NBA team is $2.12 billion, which is up 14 percent from last year.

After losing three consecutive games, the Miami Heat bounced back with a win against the Golden State Warriors. It wasn’t easy either. Leading by 19 at the half, the Heat watched the Warriors pull within four multiple times in the third period. However, the Heat pulled away in the fourth period to come out victorious. Miami is now 35-18 for the season.
A memorial has been set for Kobe and Gianna Bryant, and the date of the event holds a special meaning.

This past week, the NBA had the mid-season trade deadline, and as such, trades happened! Who woulda thunk?
At The Scorecrow, trade deadlines and draft days are our equivalent of a national holiday, so when the NBA’s largest trade in two decades went down to start the madness, we all just got drunk instead of doing our jobs and writing things. Sorry Johnnie.
Either way, here are the trades, and here are our thoughts. I, for one, don’t have them often, so y’all better appreciate the rare occasion. – Josh
