Blue Line Report: NHL DFS 1/17

Guess who’s back on national TV again? Of course, it’s the Blackhawks. Someone inform NBCSN and whoever schedules national TV games that it is not 2015. Either way, Patrick Kane is on a hot streak. Kane has 13 points in his last five games and is riding a six-game point streak. He has five straight games with multiple points. The caliber of team that he’s going against does not matter, Kane should still go off against Lundqvist and the Rangers.

Core Four Skaters

Jack Eichel (BUF) at EDM

If Cam Talbot, is in goal, I tend to pick against him. He is not confirmed in net yet, but I like Eichel’s odds against any Edmonton goalie. Let’s hope the Sabres can start winning again and get back in the playoff hunt. There is a lot of drive to win right now, so hopefully, Eichel comes through with a solid performance. *Update, as per dailyfaceoff.com, Mikko Koskinen will get the start in goal*

NHL DFS DraftKings Ice Picks January 11, 2019

Happy weekend everyone. Saturday will have a nice helping of games, for tonight we just have four games on the docket to choose from. Florida Panthers at Calgary Flames could provide offensive fireworks for us, this game, as well as Detroit Red Wings at Winnipeg Jets, have a combined team total of 6.5 goals. The other game I have my eye on is the Pittsburgh Penguins at Anaheim Ducks with a 6 goal implied total attached.

A whopper of a slate for your Tuesday evening. 11 games to pick players from on DraftKings. This makes things more interesting and perhaps more challenging for us to find a winning combination of players because the pool to pick from is so much greater on these nights. Florida at Pittsburgh, Columbus at Tampa Bay, Colorado at Winnipeg, and Edmonton at San Jose are where my focus will be, so let’s get going.

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Minnesota Wild begin the eight-game Thursday slate at an odd 2 p.m. eastern time with all other games beginning at the more normal 7 p.m. time slot. We will focus our attention on the evening match-ups. Tampa Bay, Washington, and the Vancouver/Montreal game are all good spots to build your roster.
