This is the first multi-year extension for Boston who had been signed to a one-year deal with the Panthers in the 2019 offseason.
Boston started his career with the Panthers when drafted by them in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Boston remained with the Panthers until 2017 at which time he was waived and found his way to the Los Angeles Chargers. He then played for the Arizona Cardinals in the 2018 season. Boston returned to Carolina for the 2019 season.
