Utah State vs. Nevada (+8.0)

The Nevada Wolfpack was back in action Friday after a 19-day COVID-19 stoppage. They nearly overcame a 21-point deficit to defeat this same Utah State team, but lost 75-72 to the Aggies. Nevertheless, the Wolfpack should be able to take some of that momentum into this game. Utah State broke a two-game losing streak but still have lost four of seven games, and also went through their own stoppage of 13 games.

Grant Sherfield has led the Wolfpack in points (18.5 PPG), assists (6.2 APG), and steals (1.6 SPG) on the season and is a front-runner for the Mount West Conference Player of the Year. This game should not necessarily stay close the whole way, but end up close towards the end.

Cap’n Kielar’s Pick: Nevada (+8.0)

Lakers vs. Warriors (+4.0)

The Warriors are on a three-game winning streak and are 11-4 against the Lakers in the last 15 matchups. Los Angeles has struggled to cover at home, going 6-11 ATS at Staples Center and 15-19 ATS overall. The Lakers have also struggled of late without Anthony Davis, losing four in a row before defeating the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday.

Draymond Green is coming off a huge game, as he recorded a triple-double in Golden State’s win over the Charlotte Hornets. Green finished with 11 points, 12 rebounds, and a career-high 19 assists. Kelly Oubre Jr. is shooting nearly 40 percent from behind the arc since starting 7-of-51 from three-point range. Stephen Curry had a game-high 29 points on Friday and he’s averaging the second-most points in the NBA with 29.9 PPG.

The good news for the Lakers is Dennis Schröder is back and scored 22 points in Friday’s win. Los Angeles is 23-7 this season when he is on the court. The Warriors play the Lakers tough, though, and it’s a primetime game on ESPN. This one should stay close.
