Marchand and McAvoy
Brad Marchand has had a big week. Things were looking up for the Bruins’ center after being named NHL’s third star of the week, and leading the league with two goals and five assists within the seven days. However, after a feisty elbow onRyan Johannson, late in the third period went uncalled, Monday against Dallas.
“The Marchy thing, I guess, we’ve got to prepare accordingly for the worst. With Noel, we hope he is ready to go, but if not, then we’ll look to Providence.” Cassidy explained to NHL.com
With Charlie McAvoy on the mend, Head Coach Bruce Cassidy quickly called up Anders Bjork from Providence.
“Losing Charlie hurts because that’s maybe his greatest strength is his ability to move the puck under pressure, so that is something we’re going to have to get better at,” Cassidy told NHL.com.
Nevertheless, the point streak continues for the Bruins, hitting 17 on Tuesday.
