The Boston Bruins have acquired Marcus Johansson from the New Jersey Devils. The Bruins have sent a second-round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft and a fourth-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft to the Devils in exchange for a 28-year-old forward.

Johansson is a left-handed winger. The Swedish forward carries a salary cap hit of $4,583,330 per year and will become an unrestricted free agent in the summer. Johansson has collected 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points throughout 48 games this season. Johansson has played in 578 games in the NHL totaling 331 points. Before being traded to New Jersey in 2017, Johansson spent his whole career in Washington with the Capitals.

Johansson has been heating up in recent weeks. He recorded 12 points in his last 13 games with the Devils. Five of his six goals scored in that timespan have come at even strength.
