Coming into the game with four wins in a row, the Kansas City Chiefs are looking to continue to dominate the field and start their march toward becoming the king of the AFC West. The Denver Broncos are looking to get their season back on track by handing out a loss to one of their division rivals.

The offense for Denver has shown glimpses of having the ability to score, but they have been inconsistent. They will face a Chiefs defense that seems to be carrying the team. However, when you compare the statistics for each offense, they are similar regarding numbers in scoring and total yards. The Chiefs do have slightly more yards on offense. When looking at defense numbers, Denver has better numbers, but they are similar when comparing sacks, takeaways, and turnover differential. Despite similar numbers, the Chiefs still hold the advantage thanks to their consistency.

The Chiefs’ defense will need to continue to put pressure on the quarterback. Russell Wilson has not done well this season with being pressured, and so he tends to make mistakes. Chris Jones has had a sack in each game he has played in, and fans will be looking to see if he can get at Wilson.

Also, when looking at the stats for both Wilson and Patrick Mahomes, on paper, they are similar. However, in execution, they seem miles away. So, who will be at fault if the Broncos don’t perform well on offense? Wilson keeps getting the heat, but the rest of the offense needs to step up. Samaje Perine and Jerry Jeudy had some season highs last week against the New York Jets. They must step up against the Chiefs’ defense if they want a chance to win.

The Chiefs are the favorites to win. It’s hard to say how the over/ under will fare, but it might be something to keep an eye on with a rivalry like this unless one of the teams utterly collapses.

What To Watch For

The Chiefs have won 15 straight against the Broncos. At this point, they do not plan on losing to the Broncos. Travis Kelce has been questionable for this game. Mahomes and his offense must find the consistency they have lacked all season. They have been good enough to get by, but there is a striking difference between previous and current seasons.

The Broncos should play better than in previous games, even if it is only to beat the Chiefs for bragging rights. The talent is there, so look for a better performance on both sides of the ball. Will it be good enough to put another win on the board? It will be an excellent game to watch and see.
