After turmoil struck last season in Los Angeles, Melvin Gordon has decided to take his services to the Mile High City. On Friday, the running backs signed a two-year, $16 million contract with the Denver Broncos.
Of this salary, Gordon is guaranteed $13.5 million.

Another weapon for first-year full-time starter, Drew Lock.
The former 15th overall pick of the Chargers back in 2015 held out to start 2019, but it proved costly. He still signs a nice deal, but it was certainly less than market value.
Melvin Gordon will be the No. 1 back in Denver, but he is also going to split carries with Phillip Lindsay, who is another focal point of Denver’s offense.
It is going to be interesting to see how this is going to play out in the long run. The Broncos are going to be potentially scary next season.
This is another big move they make after they decided to trade for defensive tackle Jurrell Casey from the Tennessee Titans for a seventh-round pick
In 12 games played last season, Gordon rushed for 612 yards on 162 carries and eight touchdowns; catching 42 passes for 296 yards and one touchdown as well.
It’ll be interesting to see how Pat Shurmur balances the workload between Gordon and Lindsay. However, he’s starting to slowly build an offensive juggernaut around his dynamic backfield.
