Uche, 21, appeared in all 12 games in 2018 for Michigan recording a team-leading seven sacks.
He continued his roll in 2019 when he recorded 8.5 sacks which was tied for 14th most in school history.
His performance in 2019 earned him Second Team All-Big Ten honors and boosted his draft stock forcing the Patriots to move up to get him in the second-round.
Uche joins his former teammate Chase Winovich in Foxboro and is expected to compete for a starting job at linebacker.
