After only taking six snaps in Thursday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots running back Dion Lewis may be on his way to a new home.
According to Boston Herald writer Jeff Howe, there have been “multiple squads” that have indeed given the Patriots a buzz about Lewis.
Howe also stated that there have been calls about the running back “as recently as the past week.”
Lewis seems to have taken the backseat to running backs Mike Gillislee, Rex Burkhead, and James White as he only played two snaps on offense with rest coming on special teams.
The Patriots have a surplus at running back and are running dry in other key positions like wide receiver and linebacker.
If the Patriots can get a solid veteran linebacker or receiver for the Pittsburgh alum, then they should definitely take a look and possibly kick the tires on what could possibly improve their wide receiver position or defense in the long run.

Trading away Lewis will b a big mistake unless they get someone better as slot receiver or a very good linebacker
