Breaking: Jayson Tatum Wins Player of the Week

Jayson Tatum is the second Celtic this season to win Player of the Week, joining Jaylen Brown who has taken home the award twice.

Tatum, 21, has shown marked growth this year. He was named to the NBA All-Star team for the first time a couple weeks ago, averaging 22.2 points and shooting 44.4 percent on field goals. Tatum is also shooting 38.7 percent from distance, and shooting more threes than ever before.

He led his squad to a perfect 4-0 record during Week 16, which saw the Celtics continue to struggle with injuries. Kemba Walker was no exception to the injury bug, and he missed games against Atlanta and Orlando.

His absence allowed Tatum to take control of the reigns even more.

Tatum will have two more games to put his talent on display before the All-Star game on Feb. 16, where he will face off against Kemba Walker and Team LeBron.
