The San Francisco 49ers and George Kittle have come to terms on a huge extension to keep Kittle with Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers. Kittle is now locked up for five years with the full value is at $75 million.
The #49ers and TE George Kittle have reached agreement on a record-setting 5-year, $75M extension ($15M per year avg) that includes $40M guaranteed, as @PardonMyTake said. Finally a deal that resets the TE market. And it’s well deserved.

During his first three seasons in the NFL, Kittle has caught 216 passes, for 2,977 yards and scored 12 touchdowns.
Kittle, originally a fifth-round pick in 2017, was selected All-Pro twice in a row in the last two seasons.
Kittle also set the record for most receiving yards in a single season by a tight end in 2018 with 1,377 yards.
He’s also regarded as one of the best blockers in his position.
Kittle is now the highest-paid tight-end passing Browns Austin Hooper who was at $10.5 million. Kittle is at $15 million.
Kittle is one of the league’s most dynamic tight-ends as he can lineup like a fullback at times.
The 49ers now will retain a star core of Jimmy Garoppolo, Kittle, and Nick Bosa for many years to come, and will hope to bring a championship to San Fran after a great run in 2019.
