This afternoon the Brooklyn Nets announced in a team press release that four of their players were diagnosed with COVID-19, the same virus that Rudy Gobert, Donovan Mitchell, and Christian Wood were all diagnosed with.
Only one of them is symptomatic at this time, and everyone from the travel party is being asked to remain isolated and monitor their health.
We do not know the names of the players at the moment but that information should become available with time.
This comes after the NBA suspended the league last week following the diagnosis of Rudy Gobert with COVID-19.
The Nets are 30-34, placing them seventh in the Eastern Conference. They were already missing Kevin Durant, who suffered an Achilles tear in last season’s NBA Finals. They also lost Kyrie Irving with a shoulder injury, which eventually required surgery.
More to come.
