Quarterback Tom Brady and the New England Patriots answered Evan Raynes’ call delivering a surprise that the 10-year old will not soon forget.
Raynes since last September, has been fighting the disease T Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. The disease requires Raynes to go through intense chemotherapy regimens.
First, the team sent Raynes a care package with a letter thanking him for his love and support of the team. The family posted photos and videos of him opening the package.
It didn’t stop there as Evan got another gift sent to him personally from the six-time Super Bowl champion quarterback. This time with more than just a signature.
Brady wrote the following message on the jersey
Evan! “Best always hang tough” – Tom Brady – Go Pats!
Raynes’ father Travis wrote a message to the Patriots thanking them for their support and love towards Evan.
To Tom Brady, Ted Karras Jr, Pat the Patriot, Sam Gordon, and the entire Patriot Nation, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you have done. We have been blessed with tremendous support from friends, family, and our entire community throughout this nightmare, but nothing in this world could have made a 10 year old little boy smile any bigger than getting acknowledged by his heroes. I struggle to quantify with words what it means to me as a Father to see him so excited. To get a chance to be Evan the Patriots fan rather than Evan the cancer patient for any amount of time is worth so much. You guys have went above and beyond to brighten an otherwise dark time in his life and on my dying day I will not forget it. By the time this season rolls around he’ll be able to travel and I’ve promised him a trip to Boston, so rest assured that whatever game that may be, there’s no question who the biggest fan in the stands will be.”
Thanks again and Go Pats!

Thank you so much. Your reply to Evan Raynes was so wonderful. It was so good to see his HAPPY RESPONSE.
Thank you for making a young man’s day. He couldn’t wait to show me his jersey, yesterday. He was definitely having a bad day but his face brightened with a smile from side to side.
