While Super Bowl 56 still has to be played, it’s never too early to look towards the offseason. Much will change between now and March 16, when free agency starts. However, fantasy football players are anxious to see who signs with what team and the fantasy impact. In a four-part series, I will give the best fantasy landing spot for the top free agents at each position. Restricted free agents won’t be part of this series as they usually end up back with their current teams. Also, this list will not include potential cap casualties, focusing on only upcoming free agents. So without further ado, let’s dive into it. Next up are wide receivers.

Davante Adams → Las Vegas Raiders
Fantasy owners want Aaron Rodgers and Adams to return to Green Bay next year. However, Rodgers is likely leaving the Packers. While Twitter is convinced Rodgers and Adams will end up together in Denver, that isn’t the best fantasy spot for the wide receiver. Instead of splitting targets in Denver with Courtland Sutton and the rest of their wide receivers, Adams would be better off in Vegas. The Raiders have a glaring hole at wide receiver and no consistent weapon in the passing game outside of Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller. Derek Carr and Adams played together at Fresno State and should click immediately. If Adams lands with the Raiders, he will maintain his top-three wide receiver status.
Chris Godwin → Arizona Cardinals
With Tom Brady retiring, fantasy players hope Godwin signs somewhere else in free agency. For the Cardinals, A.J. Green and Christian Kirk are upcoming free agents. DeAndre Hopkins dealt with injuries this season, and the Cardinals need to find a reliable running mate for him. Godwin has been one of the better wide receivers in fantasy football, averaging 17.7 fantasy points per game over the past three years. In Arizona, Godwin would have a similar situation to Tampa Bay. Hopkins would fill the role of Mike Evans, the outside No. 1 wide receiver, allowing Godwin to work the middle of the field. If he signs with the Cardinals, Godwin should be a top-15 wide receiver next season.
Odell Beckham Jr. → New England Patriots
What a difference a change of scenery did for OBJ. In 29 career games with the Cleveland Browns, he averaged 11.4 fantasy points per game. By comparison, Beckham averaged 12 fantasy points per game over the final seven games with the Los Angeles Rams. Furthermore, Beckham has averaged 16.7 fantasy points per game in the playoffs. However, with the return of Robert Woods next season, Beckham’s target share will take a hit if he re-signs with the Rams. Instead, Beckham needs to sign with a team that can give him the 27.4 percent target share he saw with the New York Giants. The Patriots have one massive hole on offense: wide receiver. Beckham could step in and see the needed target share to finish next season as a WR1.
Allen Robinson → Philadelphia Eagles
For those of you looking for a dynasty buy low wide receiver, Robinson is your guy. He averaged a career-low 7.2 fantasy points per game this season, but he also had the lowest target share of his career. However, Robinson has averaged 14.7 fantasy points per game for his career before the 2021 season. He had back-to-back top-10 finishes before last year. Meanwhile, the Eagles have a massive hole at wide receiver. The rookie Devonta Smith had a team-high 104 targets in 2021. The next closest wide receiver had 62 targets. While Jalen Hurts is far from the best quarterback in the NFL, Robinson doesn’t need a superstar to produce for fantasy owners. If he signs with the Eagles, Robinson will be a fantasy steal come draft time.
Mike Williams → Los Angeles Chargers
If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. In his first season with offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi, Williams had a career year. He finished as the WR12 this season, averaging 15.4 fantasy points per game. Williams had the same fantasy points per game average as Jaylen Waddle despite seeing 12 fewer targets than the rookie and 28 fewer targets than Keenan Allen. While Williams struggled early in his career, he has taken off since the addition of Justin Herbert. The Chargers love to use him in the red zone and downfield. Williams ranked in the top-12 wide receivers in both deep targets (25) and red zone targets (23) this season. As much as the fantasy community is excited for Joshua Palmer, Williams belongs in Los Angeles.
