Welcome back DFSers, we’ve reached the mid part of the week. Today’s NHL schedule is comprised of five total games, three of which will be broken down here. Colorado/Ottawa, Buffalo/Calgary, and San Jose/Arizona.
Joel Dorcas | January 15th, 2019 Good day everyone. A total of 10 games awaits us tonight. The Columbus Blue Jackets host the New Jersey Devils,
Happy weekend everyone. Saturday will have a nice helping of games, for tonight we just have four games on the docket to choose from. Florida Panthers at Calgary Flames could provide offensive fireworks for us, this game, as well as Detroit Red Wings at Winnipeg Jets, have a combined team total of 6.5 goals. The other game I have my eye on is the Pittsburgh Penguins at Anaheim Ducks with a 6 goal implied total attached.
After such a monster slate we usually get a pretty dumbed down schedule and that’s just what is in store for us tonight. Three games to choose from, in order of games I like, Colorado at Calgary, Nashville at Chicago, and Ottawa at Anaheim.
A whopper of a slate for your Tuesday evening. 11 games to pick players from on DraftKings. This makes things more interesting and perhaps more challenging for us to find a winning combination of players because the pool to pick from is so much greater on these nights. Florida at Pittsburgh, Columbus at Tampa Bay, Colorado at Winnipeg, and Edmonton at San Jose are where my focus will be, so let’s get going.
Six game slate for Sunday. Two games at 4 p.m., two games at 5 p.m., and you guessed it, two games at 8 p.m. All times eastern. My focus will be players from Vegas, Dallas/Winnipeg, Washington/Detroit, and Chicago/Pittsburgh.
A seven-game slate to kick off the weekend. Pittsburgh Penguins and Winnipeg Jets, Washington Capitals and Dallas Stars, and finally New York Rangers and Colorado Avalanche appear to be the best games to target. Let’s break it down. *Please note, player salary values may change after this writing*
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Minnesota Wild begin the eight-game Thursday slate at an odd 2 p.m. eastern time with all other games beginning at the more normal 7 p.m. time slot. We will focus our attention on the evening match-ups. Tampa Bay, Washington, and the Vancouver/Montreal game are all good spots to build your roster. (Update, Leafs/Wild game not on DraftKings for today’s games).
Now that we are fully recovered from our New Years festivities we can concentrate on our DFS lineups. A decent number of games to pick from as we have double the total from last night to choose from. Let’s get to it.
Happy New Year everyone! Welcome to my first installment of “Ice Picks” where I try to give some advice on selecting players for your Daily Fantasy lineups. DraftKings will be used as a reference for player prices. This is a short three-game slate with the big Winter Classic starting things off at 1 p.m. eastern.
