The Jacksonville Jaguars have too many holes to fill in just draft but drafting the correct players could help. The Jaguars need cornerback help the most after trading away Jalen Ramsey during the season and A.J. Bouye earlier this week. After that, it’s a mirage of other needs. With so many needs, the Jaguars can attack the draft in multiple ways.
Heading into the 2019 NFL season, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ future looked bright. They just signed Nick Foles for $88 million dollars. Foles was expected to be everything the Jaguars needed to make a playoff push and return to their 2017 form. That quickly changed when Foles was nearly immediately injured in week one. After that, rookie Gardner Minshew took over. Although Minshew did very good for a rookie thrown into a bad situation, it still wasn’t enough.
Even with round one already wrapped up, there are still many great players left. There were many players who weren’t even expected to go in the first, such as Tytus Howard, L.J. Collier, and Kaleb McGary. While those players were taken off the board, there were many players who were better prospects as the same position, such as Cody Ford, Dre’Mont Jones, and Jawaan Taylor.
