We are just hours away from the 2021 NFL Draft and the rumor mill is hotter than ever. With teams looking to move, and leaks appearing out of nowhere, information about different situations comes up by the minute. Let’s get into the last-minute rumors of draft day.
Every year there are bound to be several prospects in the NFL Draft that go on day three and succeed nicely in the league. Kendrick Green could be one of these guys. Green had almost no draft hype at the end of the 2020 season but like several prospects, has picked up some serious steam throughout the offseason.
The Crimson Tide has been pumping out offensive lineman lately. Deonte Brown is one of three linemen expected to go in the first two days of this year’s draft from Alabama.
In a star-studded cornerback class with Jaycee Horn, Patrick Surtain, and Caleb Farley, Paulson Adebo is an underrated name that could be up there with the best of the best. Before opting out in 2020, Adebo had some serious first-round draft talk during last year’s offseason.
Alex Leatherwood is an extremely experienced offensive lineman who has been at the forefront of some controversy this draft cycle. The debate on him is whether or not he should be making a switch from guard to tackle once in the NFL.
Caden Sterns has been on draft radars since his freshman season. Sterns shows some very good traits, but in a stacked safety class, is he good enough to be selected ahead of some other star players? Let’s find out.
In a loaded safety class, James Wiggins has really not gotten much media attention. After starting for Cincinnati in 2018, Wiggins has had a bit of an injury-riddled career. After missing the 2019 season, he led the Bearcats’ defense to a New Year’s Six Bowl in 2020. Wiggins is a superb playmaker at the safety spot, but will his style translate to the NFL? Let’s dive in.
Cornerbacks are at a premium in this year’s NFL Draft. With several expected to go in the first few rounds, Tre Brown could be a player that gets called on in the latter half of the draft.
In a class with all different types of hybrid and new-generation linebackers, Tony Fields II is a linebacker who is not getting talked about enough. Fields is more of a traditional middle linebacker who does everything fairly well.
Carlos Basham Jr. is being mocked all over the place, and for good reason. He’s one of the most polarizing players to scout in this draft class. There are some real inconsistencies, paired with some serious flashes of a special player.
