Report: Mets Reunite With Todd Frazier

As the clock wound down, New York Mets general manager Brodie Van Wagenen pulled the trigger on a few trades, but one of them sure will be sweet. Todd Frazier, who played for the Mets in 2018 and 2019, has been traded to the Mets from the Rangers.

The Mets look like they are preparing for a scenario in which they are without JD Davis, who was drilled by a 99 mph fastball from Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman.

In 2018, Frazier hit .213 with 18 home runs and 59 RBI. He bounced back in 2019 with a .251 average, 21 home runs, and 67 RBI. He signed with the Rangers in the offseason on a one-year deal.

The Mets will presumably end up sending a PTBNL to Texas, but no return has been reported yet.

At first glance, this looks like a win-win for both teams.
