Corrigan's Gambling Corner: Week Two

Daniel Corrigan | January 21st, 2020

The over not hitting in the National Championship game is a damn shame. Also, how in the hell did the Ravens get blown out by the Titans? Luckily, the year is young.

2020 Record: 0-2-1

Life Is Too Short To Bet The Under, Over Of The Week: Florida Panthers vs Chicago Blackhawks O/U 6

I told everyone about the best-kept secret that is the Blackhawks overs. Now that they are starting to get hot, It may be time to start putting some money on the Blackhawks overs. Also in five out of the last six, the Panthers have hit the over, and in four out of the last six, the Blackhawks hit the over.

My Lock(s) of The Week:

Illinois (+5.5) vs Purdue:

It’s wild to me that the 24th ranked team in the country is a 5.5 point underdog against a 10-8 team. Also, Purdue is 1-4 ATS in their last five. One last thing on this game, watch the under very closely. Both these teams have hit the under a lot recently.

Penguins ML -130 vs Flyers:

Having to bet only college basketball and Hockey is weird to me. But, the Penguins are red-hot and they are smashing the spread, just in case you were looking at Penguins -1.5. The Penguins should win this game pretty easily.

Clippers +1 vs Mavericks:

With Paul George out, the Clippers are actually slight underdogs in this game. Don’t get me wrong, I think the Mavs are good. But the Clippers are 4-1 without George and 8-3 in their last 11 road games overall. Kristaps Porzingis has missed some time with knee soreness. As I’m typing this, he is expecting to play, but will most likely not be 100%.
