Report: Vikings’ Dalvin Cook to Hold Out

The first holdout of the 2020 season has arrived and it comes in the form of a Pro Bowl running back.

Minnesota Vikings star Dalvin Cook will no longer participate in any team activities until he receives a “reasonable” extension offer from the Vikings, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Cook is entering his fourth season in the NFL and has battled health issues since his second-round selection in 2017. He is due $6.4 million in 2020 but wants to secure a long-term deal.

Last month, it was reported by ESPN that the Vikings were having promising extension talks with Cook, but those appear to have gone in vain.

The 24-year-old Florida product has had a torn ACL and some other ailments limit him previously but broke out last season with 1,135 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground. He also caught 53 passes for 619 receiving yards in 2019.
