Robert Kraft’s Super Bowl Ring Sells for $1.025 Million in Auction

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft generously donated his Super Bowl LI ring to the “All In Challenge,” which aims to provide food to children, elders, and frontline heroes in need.

The winning bid of $1.025 million sends the winner a gift package with various prizes.

The highlight of the package is Kraft’s personal Super Bowl LI ring, which is the fifth of six in his collection. The ring celebrates the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history when the Patriots roared back from a 28-3 deficit to defeat the Falcons by a score of 34-28 in overtime. The ring includes 283 total diamonds, with 278 round and five marquise-cut, and has a weight of 5.1 carats. Crafted in 10-karat white gold, the ring is inscribed with “We Are All Patriots 2-3-02” and “Greatest Comeback Ever.”

Additionally, the winner will be flown to Boston on Robert Kraft’s private plane from anywhere in the continental U.S. and transported to Gillette Stadium, where they will receive the ring from Kraft himself in the team’s trophy room.

100 percent of the money raised from the campaign will be donated to Meals on Wheels, No Kid Hungry, America’s Food Fund, Feeding America, and World Central Kitchen.

Massachusetts has been one of the states impacted the most by the COVID-19 pandemic. Their 88,970 confirmed cases ranks fourth behind New York, New Jersey, and Illinois. In fact, Massachusetts has more confirmed cases than California despite its population being 17 percent of the west-coast state’s.

The All In Challenge has already welcomed $46 million in proceeds for charity with several auctions still live.

Team owners are often among the most despised figures in sports, but it’s impossible to dislike Kraft’s immense charity endeavors as the coronavirus rages on.
