Report: Seahawks Working to Sign Marshawn Lynch

It appears that there is some mutual interest in another reunion between a legendary duo.

Marshawn Lynch, notably dubbed “Beast Mode,” told Scott Van Pelt of ESPN that his agent and the Seahawks are in discussions regarding a return to Seattle yet again. It seems that Seattle has more than just speculative interest which can make this deal come to fruition.

Lynch, 34, was drafted by the Buffalo Bills at 12th overall in the 2007 draft and spent two-plus seasons there before he was flipped to Seattle for picks. He then went into a short retirement after playing initially for Seattle from 2010 until 2015. He came out of retirement in 2017 to play for his hometown Raiders and had a decent run with them until the middle of the 2018 season when he got injured.

Due to the injury, Lynch went into retirement again until the Seahawks lost three running backs to injury in Week 16 of the 2019 season, prompting them to bring back Lynch and fellow running back Robert Turbin.

In his first game back since late 2018, Lynch rushed 12 times for 34 yards and a touchdown on national television. Then, in two playoff games, he scored three touchdowns for Seattle.

Lynch has been one of the best characters that the game of football has had and Seahawks fans would surely welcome him back yet again.
