Tunsil Strikes Gold, Signs Big Extension With Houston

The Texans have reached an agreement with left-tackle Laremy Tunsil on a three-year extension, worth $66 million.

The deal also includes $57 million guaranteed.

The 25-year-old Pro-Bowl tackle was a contentious No. 1 pick entering the 2016 Draft. However, a video was leaked on Draft Night that featured Tunsil smoking from a bong while wearing a gas mask. The caption on the Instagram post mentioned that he borrowed money from Ole Miss so he could help his mother pay bills while he was at school.

Many teams took the offensive lineman completely off their boards, but the talent was too much for the Dolphins to pass up at No. 13.

After three seasons in Miami, he was traded alongside Kenny Stills and a fourth-round pick to the Houston Texans one exchange for two first-round picks.  He was selected to his first Pro-Bowl this past season.
