On March 11, the sports world came to a complete stop as Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19. The NBA regular season was suspended, followed by a suspension of the NHL. Then, March Madness was canceled, and shortly thereafter the start of the MLB was suspended.

On Saturday afternoon, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the NBA, NBPA, and ESPN are working on putting together a H-O-R-S-E competition between NBA players at their home gyms.

According to the New York Post’s Andrew Marchand, Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, Donovan Mitchell, and Zion Williamson are expected to be included.

Both the NBA and ESPN are looking for something to fill the empty void that COVID-19 has caused, and as ESPN’s Brian Windhorst has reported, the possibility of the 2019-20 season to continue to starting to look bleak.

During the 2009 and 2010 NBA All-Star weekend festivities, the game of H-O-R-S-E was included. It did not return in 2011.
