Cooper started his professional career with the Los Angeles Rams when he was drafted in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. During his time with Los Angeles, Cooper recorded 25 receptions for 190 yards and was named to the 2017 Pro Bowl and the First-Team All-Pro the same year.

In 2018 Cooper played two games with the Arizona Cardinals, played one game with the Cinncinati Bengals in 2019 and finished the season with the Cardinals. Cooper played 12 games with the Cardinals in the 2019 season and recorded his career-high 25 receptions for 243 yards and one touchdown.

He also recorded a tackle assist with one tackle-for-loss last season.

With this latest move in his career, Cooper will be going back home to North Carolina.  He originally is from Havelock, North Carolina and went to college at the neighboring University of South Carolina.
